There was not much football the long weekend after the heavy rainfall we had on Friday, a lot of games were called off. Our 14’s game vs Donnycarney was postponed to the bank holiday Monday and the lads kept their 100% record going with a very entertaining game and came away with the all 3 points with a 4-2 win away from home.
The bad weather held off Sunday for our green army coming out in force to march in the St Patricks day parade in Clondalkin village. The lads stole the show vocally with their ”Celtic” chant while waving the green & white flags high in the air as they marched true Clondalkin village with massive crowds cheering on. The Club was delighted to be awarded the Best Walking Group of the parade as we celebrate our 50th annivesary this year.
The Club would like to thank all the coaches for giving their time to participate as it does not go unrecognised the time they give already to help build the club and also to all our sponsors your generosity is keeping the kids of Clondalkin off the streets and on the pitch.
Our Club Development Draw also celebrated its first year running thanks to our treasurer Paul Nolan & the committee for the hard work all year keeping this going as we look to build for the future. The jackpot is a massive €1,400 this week so make sure you get your tickets before Monday’s draw to be in the drum. Tickets available from any club member or behind the Bar at The Purty Central.
This weekends fixtures are available to view online here at clondalkinceltic.ie or any of our social media pages.
